Scottish Girl in Tartan Kilt. Some of the Lenci companys most popular creations were paired ethnic dolls, illustrating the costumes of many different countries.
Here is the adorable model # 300 Scottish Girl in her tartan kilt and tam. She is 17 inches tall with all original, unretouched features. Her lush strawberry mohair is rich and full. She wears a deep teal jacket over a tartan plaid kilt. Her almost knee-high pieced gaiters mirror the design of her kilt. The original Lenci cloth label is sewn onto the underside of the kilt (it needs to be tacked down on one edge). She has overall shelf-dust and there is light "smudging" on her right cheek. Her outfit shows moderate fading (see contrast between kilt and gaiters). This sweetheart is missing her onesie, blouse, and leather shoes. Her kilt needs fastening in back and her jacket is missing two buttons. Despite her flaws, she is a very special example of the detailing that Lenci put into all of its ethnic designs.
